1963 → Today: The Evolution of Europe’s Hospital Physicians
In 1963, at the initiative of the Confederation of Medical Unions of France, physicians from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, and Austria gathered in Paris. This meeting led to the creation of what would become the European Association of Hospital Physicians.
In the years that followed, the association expanded, welcoming Denmark, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Romania.
In 2013, the AEMH marked its 50th anniversary, returning to its birthplace — Paris.
